Born Ville Platte, Louisiana, March 28, 1964; admitted to Louisiana State Bar 1991; also admitted to practice before Supreme Court of Louisiana, Eastern, Western, and Middle U. S. District Courts. Preparatory education: Louisiana State University (B.A. 1986, Economics and History), Tulane University(B.A. 1988, French); Tulane Law School (Juris Doctor,1991). Member: Lafayette and Evangeline Parish Bar Associations, Louisiana State Bar Association, Louisiana Land Title Association, National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL), Bond Buyer's Municipal Marketplace (the “Red Book”) , American Land Title Association. Currently serving as State Senator, District 28 of Louisiana State Senate, assigned to the Committees on the Budget, Finance, Judiciary B, Insurance and Vice-Chairman of Education. A former Senior Felony Prosecutor with the Orleans Parish District Attorney's Office and an Assistant Attorney General with the Louisiana Department of Justice.
